You have been provided with the content for a website. You must build the site using all of the content provided. You are free to choose the best structure for the site.
- All pages must use single linked external CSS file. All styling must be in this file. No inline nor embedded styling permitted.
- You must use CSS for the layout of the site. Tables may not be used for layout.
- You must have at least 1 page with a three column CSS layout
- The submit button on the form should go the URL provided by the lecturer
- Pages must be strict xhtml 1.0 or HTML5 compliant. You can validate your pages and CSS files with validator.w3.org
- There should be persistent navigation of each page. Every page should be accessible from every other page
Note: The map code provided by Google will contain style information and will no validate. That's OK. But the pages that don't have the map must validate. Don't put the map on every page.
Students who meet all the minimum requirements will receive a mark of at least 50%. Students who do not meet the minimum requirements are unlikely to pass overall.
Additional marks will be allocated for
- Good HTML style. Use of logical rather than physical mark up. e.g. em rather than bold. e.g. Definition list for food menu
- Advanced CSS. Use of contextual selectors. Use of psudeoclasses
- Horizonal list based navigation bar (10% max)
- Design (10% max)
