We reviewed the lessons of the procedural analysis exercise in the last class.

We discussed interviews with SMEs, but for the bulk of the class addressed writing learning objectives.  In particular we addressed the three domains: cognitive, psychomotor, and affective.

COMP6032 Lab 04B

I introduced students to Audacity and gave them a sample audio file to mess around with. We looked at how to do noise reduction. However there was a problem with the audio settings on the machine in the lab.  Hopefully that will be sorted soon.

We began our look at the analysis phase and and discussed needs analysis.

We looked some more at cognitivism and then discussed constructivist views of learning. That concludes the learning theory part of the module. Upcoming classes will be less theoretical.

I showed students how to increase the size of an image of an icon without having it get too blurry by using the correct interpolation setting in Photoshop. It's a pity we didn't discover that trick sooner.

We looked at how to do a screen capture. I asked students to begin work on a PowerPoint presentation that explains what each of the Tools in the Photoshop Tools Palette does.
