CMOD6001 Procedure for Removing a Student from a Group

If a CIT student
  • misses 2 CIT classes or
  • misses a meeting or
  • does not perform work assigned to them
without a reasonable explanation the remainder of the group present at a meeting may vote by a majority (of 50:50 if the number present is even) to issue them with a yellow card. The student and Colin should be emailed notification of the yellow card and this should be recorded on the group blog.

Once issued a yellow card the student must attend all meetings, all cit classes, and complete all assigned tasks. If they student fails to do so the group may vote to recommend to Colin that the student be removed from the group. The student and Colin should be emailed notification of this decision and it should be recorded on the group blog.

The authority to remove students is not being devolved to students. Only Colin makes the final decision.

i came up with a good idea for this situation Colin

We shold fine each person who misses a class 50cent. this money should then be put towards the bus to where ever we go on our class party !
If you miss 3 in a row it should be a €2 fine . . this might make it more appealing for people to attend and not act the bollix by missin classes.

Thanks
